About this test
This comprehensive test measures blood sugar levels over a 3-hour period after consuming a 100-gram glucose drink to diagnose gestational diabetes.
Before the test
- Fast for 10–12 hours before collection. Overnight is easiest; water is fine.
- The sample is taken 1 hour after a meal or glucose drink.
